The collection from Barton Perreira introduces a great selection of styles, including the Fair Lady – chic and stylish oversize frame with painted inlay and a variety of prescription lenses. History
When in 2006, the Oliver Peoples company was acquired by Oakley, its former president Bill Barton and the vice president of design Patty Perreira decided to start their own eyewear brand based in Los Angeles with headquarters in Orange County. They established a new firm Barton Perreira in 2007, and it quickly got attention from well-known celebrities such as Jessica Biel, Orlando Bloom, and Angelina Jolie. In September 2008, the markets collapsed, but the new company did its best to focus on creating excellent products of the finest quality. It worked out, and in 2009, the brand was going in the right direction with great results.
The brand’s designer Patty Perreira never follows trends and is moved by pop culture, music, and movies. For example, she got the inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from the 1960s and 1970s, using characters from classic movies “Rebel Without a Cause” and “Love Story”. In 2019, Barton Perreira and Marcolin Group, a leader in the eyewear design, signed a multi-year agreement that states the Marcolin will bring the brand’s exclusive collection of women’s and men’s glasses to choose optical stores and retailers in the Middle East, Europe, South America, Mexico, and Pacific Asia Countries (except Japan).
