For more than 30 years, Lunor has been demonstrating its outstanding expertise in the design of eyewear. Some of the brand's innovations have taken years to develop. Since 2019, the company has been manufacturing its classic stainless steel frames in LUMAG, its own workshop in the Northern Black Forest. History
Lunor is a luxury eyewear brand that was founded in 1991 by Gernot Lindner in Germany. Lindner had a passion for collecting antique eyewear and used his extensive knowledge of vintage eyewear to create Lunor's distinctive and timeless designs. He is known throughout the optical industry for his commitment to quality. So, it's no surprise that Lindner made his very first pair of glasses out of pure gold. 16 karat fine gold and 2 karat platinum, to be exact. Today, Lunor frames are made from titanium, acetate, buffalo horn and stainless steel, and are handcrafted using traditional techniques. Over the years, Lunor has collaborated with a number of fashion designers and brands, including Dries Van Noten and Comme des Garçons, to create limited edition eyewear collections. Today, the creative mind behind Lunor's outstanding designs is Michael Fux, the company's director and designer.
