About
In order to increase the appeal of Fendi eyewear and make it a leading brand in the luxury segment, the House joined forces with world-famous spectacle maker Thelios. Under the new partnership, the brand introduces stunning eyewear collections that smoothly combine traditional Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. All eyewear styles represent Fendi's DNA with combined materials, distinctive details, bold color combinations and the iconic elements. From classic rectangular styles and round retro shapes in acetate to ultra-modern hexagonal and irregular glasses in gold-colored metal, the Fendi eyewear range will have you covered! The collection’s color palette features subtle but elegant hues such as white, blue, black and Havana that are paired with premium-quality lenses. Some styles come in transparent acetate or feature transparent edges.
Each pair of Fendi glasses features the signature Fendi style codes and details, re-energized for a new era. The iconic, oval-shaped FF logo decorates the front and temples of the O’Lock frames. The Fendigraphyshield sunglasses inspired by the legendary Hobo bag feature temples with in-line gold-colored metal Fendi maxi lettering. The Fendi Disco eyewear line offers sunglasses and optical frames that have gold-colored metal temples with Fendi Brush lettering: a stylized version of the Fendi logo, hand-drawn by the celebrated fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez in the eighties as an exercise in typographic style. The Baguette sunglasses are embellished with the iconic FF Baguette motif. New colors, bold proportions and luxurious details cement the powerful allure, whilst anchoring the brand's signature playful approach.
History
Fendi is a legendary Italian fashion house that is synonymous with luxury and status. The brand was founded in 1925 by a married couple Adele and Edoardo Fendi. It all started in a small boutique in the heart of Rome, where designers created their first line of bags and fur coats. After a series of successful collections and special collaborations, the House has entered into the international fashion scene. In 1965, Karl Lagerfeld joined the brand to become its artistic director, marking the start of a new creative era destined to last over five decades. In 1992, he was succeeded by Silvia Venturini Fendi, third generation of the Fendi family, and in 2000 the brand became a part of the prestigious LVMH Group, a French luxury goods conglomerate. British designer Kim Jones joined Fendi in 2020, taking the role of Artistic Director for Couture and Womenswear.
For almost a century, the fashion house has been pushing forward toward innovation — all while paying tribute to their Heritage and keeping the collections impressive and inspiring. Evolution without revolution is a main concept in Kim Jones’ highly innovative approach to the House’s fashion. Working in conjunction with the Fendi family (Silvia Venturini Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi, 3rd and 4th generation of the family), he creates head-turning collections that showcase lightness and a sense of identity. Today, Fendi is still synonymous with timeless elegance and experimentation. The codes of the Roman Fashion House act as a driver for the most exclusive trends, creating a glamorous, intense, and ironic modernity. Let’s discover the latest Fendi eyewear collections that highlight the brand's signature.
